What’s the brand? What’s special about this brand?
A brand that was created, to UNFRAME THE BEAUTY.
There are a lot of different frames in the beauty industry..but the very first frame that we are trying to unframe is - the disparity that currently exists between quality and value. For UZ, the highest value is happiness, generating a unique experience in each person, every single day. -
What does UZ mean?
In Japanese UZ (Oo-Zoo) means a swirl, that has a strong core and keeps spinning. The stronger the core is, the bigger the swirl is. It keeps swirling, spiraling, and evolving. As it grows it involves more people around it. It spreads.

Are you going to release other products?
We are planning on releasing more products that are one and only, something only UZ can create. We will continue to listen to our consumers needs and create something that the world needs.

Why did the brand launch in New York?
We wanted to be based in New York because it is a melting pot of people from all over the world, and there’s so much diversity, and it’s all about individuality - people are proud of who they are and express themselves freely. We thought New York would be a great place for the UNFRAME THE BEAUTY movement. It starts here.

Can I return or exchange a product?
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your UZ purchase, you may return the gently unused portion and we will refund your account for the full amount of the purchase or exchange it for another item.
Exchanges will be offered in the event that the wrong product was shipped, the item is defective, or your order arrived damaged.
To process this exchange or refund, we ask for a photo detailing the issue and a brief description.
We will then send a return label and upon arrival to us your refund or exchange will be processed immediately.
Please email support@uz.team with your order number and the product you’d like to return within 3 weeks of the ship date. Please note that original shipping charges are not refunded.
Credit card refunds are processed in approximately 5 business days. -

Orders shipped via Standard Service are processed and shipped via DHL / USPS in 1 - 2 business days, depending on product availability.

All UZ products are cruelty free.

All 20 Eye Liners are gluten free. Our Lip Treatment is not gluten free.

Are UZ products Vegan?
The following UZ products are vegan: Black, Brown Black, Brown, Gray, Khaki, Yellow, Light Blue, White, Pitch Black, Matte Black, Metallic Black, Platinum Black, Green Black.

How are the brushes made?
The brush is hand blended using 5 different kinds of fibers and can only be done by hand. The brushmaking tradition comes from Kumano and Nara regions of Japan and only 7 people in the world can do this delicate and precise work. It’s been scientifically proven all fibers are equally blended.

Do you use animal hair?
No, we use 5 different kinds of custom made fibers that mimic cuticles of animal hair.

How waterproof is the product?
We use the most advanced Japanese waterproof technology. Our WP Film hybrid polymer provides the perfect line all day against water, sweat, humidity, tears, and oil.

How do I take off the product?
You will be able to remove eyeliner with warm water or any makeup remover.

Is the product hypoallergenic?
Yes.

How should I store the product?
We recommend keeping eyeliners flat on the surface vs vertically.

Can you recycle the package?
Yes. The primary packaging is made from recycled steel, consumer-waste, and recycled plastic. The outer packaging is comprised of compostable cardboard.

Do you ever offer product samples?
Yes, we occasionally offer samples and full-sized product giveaways. Promotions are often announced on our social channels (@UnframeTheBeauty).

Do you test on animals?
Absolutely not. Beauty begins with how you feel, not how you look. We don’t believe hurting animals has any place in beauty. UZ does not test their products or ingredients on animals and does not ask others to do this on our behalf. UZ is and will remain dedicated to a cruelty-free world.

How can I get an ingredient listing?
All UZ products are gluten-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free and alcohol-free. Specific ingredient listings are on all product packaging and can be obtained by contacting us at support@uz.team.

Unfortunately, we currently do not ship products outside the 50 states.

Do you offer free shipping?
UZ offers FREE standard shipping on all U.S. orders $25 and over (excluding taxes). Shipping for orders under $25 will be charged a flat rate of $3.95 for standard shipping.

What does 38C/99F mean?
We consider your lips would look at its healthiest state when they show natural flush as if revived from within, representing uplifted emotion, flash of happiness. We named it the moment of 38C/99F.

What about -4:+5, will different colors change the temperature of my lips?
-4 to +5 numbers address the color spectrum from the cooler to the warmer tones to achieve highly customized look of the lips at the moment of 38C/99F. Their “treatment (skincare)” effect is the same across all the shades.
The product will not be physically changing your lips’ temperature. -
What does Multi Flora do? Where does it come from?
It continuously helps to keep lips hydrated, fresh-looking, and naturally full & radiant.
It’s a type of lactic acid bacteria, naturally found in the human body (bowels). When it’s active, it helps to maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora, in other words, supports the good bacteria while controlling malignant ones. It has also been said to enhance one’s immunity by being absorbed in the small intestine. -
How does bacteria stay active? How does it continue working?
Used in a cosmetic formula as an active ingredient, even the name says “active”, it is no longer alive/active. It’s treated/processed by heat, so there's no risk of any types of infection anymore.
Yet still, formulated into the cosmetic formula, it works as a catalyst to encourage so-called “good bacteria” on the skin surface, which consumes sebum in order to generate fatty acids and glycerin as hydrating agent. The result is softer and supple lips that remain long. -
What does Endmineral do? Where does it come from?
UZ is the first and only beauty company in the world to formulate with Endmineral™ (a type of gemstone- listed as Garnet Powder). This 100% natural material, sourced mainly from Central Africa, has been studied to generate the microcurrent. When used in lip products, it helps to maintain healthy lips, and to provide them with a “natural flush” effect

What is the shelf life?
1 year without being opened.

How long does 1 lip treatment last?
1.5 - 2 months on average, but of course it largely depends on personal ways of use.

How long will it take to see results?
This also highly depends on the way each individual uses the product: e.g. how many times and how much amount is applied each time, etc. But with regular usage (3~4 times per day + before sleeping at night), many people started to observe the effect after using it for 7 continuous days.
